The meshing of the star-shaped teeth separates and mixes the material, while the gaps between the teeth provide axial space for the material flow, ensuring uniform and moderate mixing (more efficient than conventional threaded blocks, but less efficient than TME toothed blocks); the shear heat load is relatively low, making the device suitable for processing heat-sensitive materials (e.g., PVC) and medium-core composite materials. It is usually installed in the "transition zone" of the mixing section (connecting the conveyor section and the intensive mixing section).
